By applying for the student council, I recognize that I could become a representative for my grade, be a part of planning events, and giving student input. Events would include things like dances, trips to water & amusement parks, the high school graduation, community projects, etc. 

I understand that being a part of the student council requires a certain level of maturity, responsibility, and a desire to develop leadership skills. As a member of the student council, I will be required to sign up for one community service project a year, attend monthly meetings, and serve up to 20hrs per year (which would include meetings, planning events, etc.).
